What You’ll Do
- Provide age-specific critical care nursing for pediatric patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; monitor and document patient status and responses
- Administer medications and treatments using the “five rights,” including IV, subcutaneous, oral, transdermal, rectal, and intramuscular routes (per scope)
- Manage patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and vasopressor titration; support high-risk procedures and infection-control needs
- Assist physicians during treatments/exams; verify transcription of physician orders and ensure accurate clinical documentation
- Operate and respond with emergency equipment (e.g., defibrillator, EKG machine, cardiac monitor) and initiate life-saving measures when needed
- Serve as a patient advocate; educate patients/families and support discharge planning and multidisciplinary conferences
What You Need
Required
- Degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program
- Current, valid, unrestricted RN license in one of the 50 US states and/or territories
- BLS
- ALS
- PALS
- 1 year qualifying RN experience in the PICU

Work in a
Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) setting providing labor-intensive, critical care nursing, including advanced monitoring, emergency response, complex documentation, and coordination with the charge nurse and medical team.
