About the Role:
The Material Handler on the 1st shift plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials within the production and warehouse environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products in a timely and organized manner to support manufacturing and shipping operations. The role requires close collaboration with inventory control, production teams, and logistics to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent production delays. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize errors and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Material Handler contributes to operational excellence by facilitating seamless material movement and supporting overall supply chain efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:

Prior experience in manufacturing or material handling role.

Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).

Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret work orders and inventory documents.

Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds frequently and stand or walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting materials for damage or discrepancies.

Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization for easy retrieval.

Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment according to work orders and schedules.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.

Maintain accurate inventory records by updating databases and reporting any stock discrepancies or shortages.

Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to prioritize material movement and meet production deadlines.
