Kindly Direct Care is hiring compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental disabilities throughout Mercer County, New Jersey. Our DSPs work one-to-one with individuals in their homes and communities, helping them build independence, confidence, relationships, and a fulfilling daily life.
About the Role
This is a person-centered support role. Depending on the individual and assignment, a DSP may provide companionship, community-based support, skill-building, assistance with daily routines, transportation support when authorized, and other individualized supports identified in the person’s service plan. Kindly works to match DSPs with opportunities that fit their availability, experience, location, and strengths.
Responsibilities May Include
- Provide respectful one-to-one support at home and in the community.
- Help individuals participate in meaningful activities, hobbies, errands, appointments, recreation, and social opportunities.
- Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, safety, and independence skills.
- Encourage individual choice, self-advocacy, community inclusion, and healthy relationships.
- Assist with routines and activities of daily living when required by the individual’s plan and the specific assignment.
- Follow individualized behavioral, medical, safety, and support instructions within DSP scope and training.
- Maintain the individual’s health and safety and promptly report concerns through the appropriate chain.
- Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.
- Clock in and out as required and maintain dependable attendance and communication.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, dignity, and respect at all times.
Qualifications
- Caring, patient, dependable, and comfortable working one-to-one with an adult with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow individualized instructions.
- Ability to complete required documentation and use mobile/online systems for scheduling and service records.
- Ability to complete all required background checks, onboarding requirements, and state/agency-required training.
- Reliable transportation and valid driving credentials when required for a specific assignment.
- DSP, caregiving, behavioral health, education, human services, CNA, HHA, or related experience is helpful, but not required for every opportunity.
Schedule & Compensation
Kindly offers part-time and full-time opportunities depending on current individual needs. Schedules, locations, duties, and assignment rates vary by case. Recruiters will review available opportunities with qualified candidates before placement.
