Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and strategic Director of Financial Development to lead our organization’s fundraising efforts and cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders. This pivotal role combines innovative fundraising strategies, comprehensive donor engagement, and data-driven planning to ensure sustainable growth. As a key leader within our team, you will drive initiatives that expand our funding base and strengthen our organizational impact.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering strategic events for awareness and revenue generations
- Building recurring and one-time donors to meet or exceed annual budgets,
- Communicating with current and potential donors, utilizing the Executive Director, while establishing a sustainable model of communication for future growth and donor engagement. This model may utilize tools such as: Newsletters, Donor Letters, Social Media, and Email blasts
- Assisting Executive Director in researching, writing and managing new and existing grant opportunities
- Networking with local committees, grant agencies, churches, service organizations, and professional groups.
- Coordinating participation in community events, presentations and awareness campaigns.
- Connecting with staff and residents to hear victories or prayers to share with our community network. Stories of redemption can be gleaned in short weekly visits while attending a meal, presentations, devotions, or graduations.
Leadership Qualities
The Director of Financial Development is a servant leader who is able to drive the Rose Garden’s mission and strategic vision under the guidance of the board of directors. Must have a heart for people and a deep commitment to seeing lives restored through faith, community, and compassionate care.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for engaging with donors and stakeholders.
- Leadership and Management: The ability to lead a team and manage various fundraising initiatives are crucial.
- Strategic Planning: Development Directors must be adept at strategic thinking to align fundraising efforts with the organization’s goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5+ years of experience in nonprofit management or fundraising is highly valued, along with a proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns.
- Minimum of 5 years of sobriety if the candidate has a personal history of addiction.

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
