Tiger Mart Prosper Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring accurate and efficient checkout transactions. This role also assists with maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store to provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and other payment transactions while maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving customer concerns.
- Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
- Monitor merchandise levels and notify management when inventory is low.
- Perform light cleaning duties, including sweeping, wiping counters, emptying trash, and maintaining clean restrooms and store areas.
- Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling, safety, and loss prevention.
- Assist with other store duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
