Job Overview:
The Import/Export Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting compliance activities related to the import and export of Safran Helicopter Engines USA's products. This position ensures compliance with the relevant import/export regulations, and coordinates with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers. This role requires a combination of organizational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of international trade laws and industry's best practices. The Import/Export Compliance Coordinator works closely with various departments within the organization, including engineering, purchasing, logistics, and finance, to support compliance activities.
Import/Export Compliance Coordinator Responsibilities & Duties:
- Handling and processing import/export documentation such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists
- Responding to requests from Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders
- Ensuring the organization's activities comply with international trade regulations
- Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Tracking and monitoring the status of shipments to ensure they meet delivery schedules
- Resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the import/export process
- Maintaining accurate records of all import/export transactions and related documentation
- Communicating with internal departments to provide updates on import/export activities
- Assisting in the preparation of import/export compliance-related reports and presentations
- Handling inquiries and requests from regulatory authorities
- Ensuring proper classification, valuation and origin of Safran Helicopter Engine's products
- Managing relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and reliability
- Conducting Denied Party Screening and Due Diligence
- Other duties as assigned
