Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and other urgent care treatments.
- Assist with procedures such as catheterization, suturing, specimen collection, and sterile processing.
- Manage patient documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) ATHENA ONE.
- Provide triage services by evaluating patient symptoms to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a team-oriented environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Skills
- Proven experience with EMR system, electronic documentation platforms such as Athenahealth.
- Strong background in urgent care setting preferred.
- Expertise in administering injections, phlebotomy, IV insertion, catheter care, and specimen collection/processing.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs measurement, and diagnostic evaluations efficiently.
