Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Teacher Assistant to support classroom activities and assist in creating a nurturing environment for young children. This role involves working closely with lead teachers to promote early childhood development, ensure safety, and foster positive learning experiences for toddlers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early education, experience with children, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities tailored to toddler age groups
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development through engaging interactions
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities
- Support with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs as required
- Encourage positive behavior management strategies in accordance with classroom guidelines
- Assist in documenting developmental progress and communicating with parents or guardians as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain current first aid certification
Requirements
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR highly desirable
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a nurturing environment
- Prior experience with infant care, toddler care, or nannying is advantageous
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and caregiving best practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
