Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support the timely and cost-effective acquisition of equipment, materials, and services. This role is responsible for ensuring purchasing accuracy, verifying product compatibility, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting project schedules. The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with exceptional organizational skills to ensure all purchased components meet specifications and arrive complete, preventing installation or project delays. This role is a full time, in-office position.
Key Responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate purchasing and complete product compatibility.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing, quality products, and favorable delivery terms.
- Verify part numbers, dimensions, materials, and specifications to ensure all purchased components and assemblies meet project requirements.
- Audit purchase orders to ensure all required components, hardware, accessories, and supporting materials are included prior to order placement.
- Interact and collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical questions, specification discrepancies, and procurement issues.
- Coordinate procurement activities with engineering, project management, operations, and finance to support project schedules and business objectives.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and procurement milestones, proactively addressing issues that could impact timelines or project success.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier documentation, and purchasing files while identifying and reporting discrepancies before orders are finalized.
This role includes additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Procurement experience, preferably from within project-based industry
- Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet hard deadlines.
- Keen eye with attention to detail
- Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement software is a plus.
- This position is based in office and requires regular on-site attendance.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
