ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Part Time Barista is responsible for assisting various tasks in the coffeehouse, including customer service, food and drink preparation, and food safety and sanitation procedures. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

Possess the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.

Prepare and build food and drink items according to standard recipes, procedures, and directions.

Set up work stations including prep tables, service counters, etc.

Break down, clean, and sanitize work stations.

Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the customers’ needs.

Replenish food items and ensure product is stocked to appropriate levels.

Maintain excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, coworkers, etc.

Communicate regularly with direct supervisor work status updates and task completions.

Ability to adhere to regular work schedule.

Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

12 or more months of job-related experience; previous food service experience required.

Valid food safety certification.
-
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
-
Ability to set the example, understand policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Ability to work as part of a team, build relationships, and strong interpersonal skills.
ABOUT US: As the largest employer of students on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the Enterprises offers valuable work experience and hands-on training to approximately 1,500 Cal Poly Pomona students each year.
