Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Install wiring, outlets, panels, lighting fixtures, and other electrical equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and needed repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using appropriate testing devices.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Complete work orders and related documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
- Experience in residential service, commercial electrical, or new construction.
- Experience with generators, panel upgrades, and electrical troubleshooting.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
