Job Title: Press Operator
Department: Production
Job Summary
- Set up, operate, and tend presses to run progressive dies. Do scheduled quality checks of parts being produced. Miscellaneous duties assigned by Press Room Manager.
General Accountabilities
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications.
- Set up, test, and adjust presses according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
- Load material into presses.
- Load and setup dies into presses.
- Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
- Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or comparator and record on provided inspection sheets
- Examine completed workpieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Maintain, clean, and lubricate machines.
- Comply with all OSHA and company safety rules

Job Qualifications
- Experience: At least one year of experience as machine operator preferred.
- Willingness to learn.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
