- Start: 25-30 direct hours a week, 5-6 office hours/week.
- Increase in hours per week up to 30-32 is expected after 1 full month of employment.

Degrees accepted***:
Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree(s) in education, psychology, counseling, nursing, social work, applied behavior analysis, behavioral medicine, speech and language, rehabilitation, marriage and family therapy, or a comparable degree in a human services field. Bachelor of Arts Communicative Disorders with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology is also acceptable.

Preferred: At least one year of experience in the design and implementation of adaptive skills training plans
Typical Work Hours fall into:
Mon - Fri from 1 pm to 6:30 pm (morning hours possible, but not guaranteed)
Saturday: 10am - 3 pm. (optional, per employee's availability)

Applied Milestones is a dedicated Adaptive Skills Training service provider with specializing in high-quality skills training for consumers with different abilities. We apply principles and research findings from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in real-world settings to modify and improve skills and behaviors. Our mission is to empower individuals through adaptive skills training and behavior change, ensuring that children and adolescents with various developmental disabilities receive the equity chances for better outcomes. We also provide comprehensive parent training to support parents in their role of daily trainers to their children.
Summary
As an Adaptive Skills Training Specialist (AST Specialist) at Applied Milestones, you will be an instrumental staff member in helping children and adolescents achieving their goals per individual plans. As the necessity for this position - you are expected to be familiar with ABA technology, and you will provide behavioral training and support to parents and maintain documentation related to each client's progress. This position requires bachelor's degree and expectations that you will operate as a successful practitioner managing your cases independently under supervision of a program director. In addition, you will participate company meetings and ongoing trainings. We serve clients in their residences and occasionally in the community (per individual plan).

At this time:
- This is a BA/BS level position that will be supervised by MA/MS staff.
- MA/MS level position is supervised by AST Supervisor and/or program director.
- You must have your transcripts ready if you are interested in applying for this position. Your transcripts should have the date of your conferred acadenic degree.
- Apply if you have experience taking behavioral data for at least a year in a behavioral program (we had to say that explicitly). Or, you had some experience but can demonstrate competence that will be asked during the interview.
Successful candidates for AST Specialist at minimum have to have the following to apply:
- Earned bachelor's degree in ABA, Behavioral fields, Psychology, Education, Education (CHAD)
- Have completed ABA/behavioral units on undergraduate/graduate level
- Be very familiar with behavioral principles in conceptually systematic terms and have experience recording behavioral data. Experienced BT with BA/BS degrees encouraged to apply. This skill is mandatory to proceed with employment for this position.
- Have clean driving record and pass background check (multiple levels)
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be familiar with and ready to practice BACB Code of Ethics
- 1 year of verified experience with protected population in a professional capacity implementing behavioral protocols.

Responsibilities (brief)
- Participate in client assessments and program development.
- Provide planned training and consultation to parents (behavioral, skills training).
- Training sessions with clients and maintain data collected during the sessions.
- Training sessions in home and various settings (per plan).
- Conduct assessments to identify client progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals (per plan).
- Facilitate communication training (VB) sessions focused on adaptive skills and social interaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and program effectiveness.
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages client participation
- Readiness to contribute to Applied Milestones' growth and development
- Readiness to attend conventions and conferences.
Qualifications
- Experience in direct behavioral service delivery (individuals with disabilities).
- Background in special education and teaching (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and families.
- Ability to develop professional relationship with served families based on professionalism, compassion, and respect.
- Familiarity with BACB Code of Ethics
- Flexibility in work hours to match clients' availability
- Commitment to promoting independence and dignity for all clients.
