Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Receptionist/Front Office Administration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front office operations of our oral surgery practice. This role requires a blend of administrative skills and knowledge of dental procedures to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism.
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Carestream WinOMS, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflow.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EHR systems.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and providing clear information regarding procedures and appointments.
- Manage office supplies inventory, ensure cleanliness of the front desk area, and perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence management efficiently.
- Collaborate with clinical staff on treatment plans, such as post treatment letters to our referring dentists, and send out medical clearance request letters when necessary to to help streamline patient flow and enhance overall clinic operations.

- Must have 2 years of Dental Front desk experience recommended.
- Prior dental office experience is essential; familiarity with dental terminology.
- Strong knowledge of dental oral surgery terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, and (HPI) health information management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence; both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated ability to handle dental administrative support tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills including 10-key for data entry accuracy.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and office management duties.
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
