Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including handling ingredients and assembling simple menu items.
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dish area efficiently.
- Follow strict sanitation standards to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment, including proper waste disposal and cleaning of work surfaces.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and boxes safely while adhering to kitchen health and safety standards.
- Assist with food handling tasks during busy service times to ensure smooth operations.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, or other appliances under supervision while maintaining safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
