The Role
This position sits at the center of our growth strategy. As a Business Development Manager, you are not just managing accounts—you are shaping the trajectory of your territory and directly influencing overall company performance.
You will take full ownership of the California market, driving both expansion within existing accounts and the disciplined acquisition of new business. This is a high-visibility role where execution, consistency, and commercial judgment matter. Operating with high autonomy, you will be backed by a coordinated team across inside sales, market leadership, quality, and sourcing. The expectation is simple: align resources, create momentum, and deliver results.
What You’ll Own (Key Responsibilities)
- Territory Performance: Take full accountability for territory revenue, margin, and growth trajectory.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a structured, forward-looking sales pipeline that supports predictable results.
- Account Strategy: Develop and execute strategic account plans that deepen our share of wallet within key customer accounts.
- New Business Development: Identify and secure new business through targeted, high-probability pursuits.
- Commercial Discipline: Manage pricing discipline, contract execution, and margin expansion strategies.
- Market Presence: Maintain a consistent field presence, averaging 9–12 high-impact customer visits per week to stay close to new opportunities.
What You Bring (Requirements)
- Proven B2B Record: A track record of driving organic growth in business-to-business environments (experience in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution sectors is highly preferred).
- Balanced Execution: The rare ability to think strategically while executing tactically without losing pace.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong proficiency across value-based pricing, complex contract negotiation, and deal structuring.
- High Ownership: Personal accountability and an unwavering ownership of outcomes.
- Discipline: Exceptional self-discipline in managing your time, territory mapping, and daily priorities.
- Field-First Mindset: Complete comfort operating in a field-driven, performance-oriented environment requiring 30-40% regional travel.

Compensation & Benefits
We believe in rewarding top performance with highly competitive compensation and clear financial upside:
- Base Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (dependent on experience)
- Bonus Package: Performance-driven incentive structure
- Car Allowance: $750/month
- Profit Sharing: Additional company-wide performance incentives
