Job Overview – Bag O’ Crab Beaverton
Bag O’ Crab Beaverton is seeking an experienced, fast-paced, and attentive Part Time Server to join our energetic team. We’re looking for someone who is kind, guest-focused, and passionate about great food, especially seafood. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy environment, communicates clearly, and delivers top-tier hospitality with every table.
Applicants must be 21+ and hold a valid OLCC Permit and Food Handler Card. Experience with POS systems is preferred; however, we will provide training so you can become fully familiar with our in-house system and service style.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to create a welcoming dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system and manage seating/waitlists through Yelp Waitlist
- Oversee the entire table’s experience from start to finish, ensuring guests feel cared for and have a wonderful dining experience
- Upsell menu items and promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Accurately handle payments, cash transactions, and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines
- Assist with bussing tables and ensure dining areas remain clean, stocked, and organized
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate, timely delivery of orders
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Support multiple front-of-house roles as needed, including host, busser, and expeditor, to keep operations running smoothly
- Assist the manager with daily operational needs and contribute to a positive, efficient work environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in high-volume, fast-paced settings
- Familiarity with39 Miles POS and Yelp Waitlist (or ability to learn quickly)
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality, guest relations, and creating memorable dining experiences
- Effective upselling skills to promote menu items and enhance both guest satisfaction and sales performance
- Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tables during peak hours
- Basic math skills for accurate bill handling, payment processing, and cash transactions
- Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Experience in serving, bussing, food running, hosting, or other front-of-house roles is a plus
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient under pressure in a busy environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with FOH and BOH staff

Pay: $16.30 - $50.00 per hour
