Position Overview
Coastal Med Urgent Care is seeking a professional, organized, and bilingual Front Desk / Patient Services Representative to support patient care and front-office operations across our Fort Myers locations. This role is vital to creating a positive patient experience while supporting our integrated healthcare model.
We are looking for a dependable individual with strong work ethics, attention to detail, and a patient-focused mindset who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and understands the value of coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally and courteously
- Register patients accurately and verify demographics and insurance
- Collect co-pays and process payments in the POS system
- Answer phones using approved phone scripts and route calls appropriately
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Maintain front desk organization and cleanliness
- Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
- Provide patients with accurate information about Coastal Med’s integrated services, including primary care and pharmacy services, when appropriate
- Facilitate internal referrals and coordinated care
- Support clinical staff with administrative duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced urgent care setting
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Basic computer skills; EHR experience preferred
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office, urgent care, or healthcare setting
- Experience with patient education, referrals, or care coordination
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Must be flexible and available to work weekends as needed
Compensation & Benefits (for eligible employees)
- Base pay range: $18 per hour (based on experience and bilingual proficiency)
