The Plant Manager will oversee operations across our two Connecticut manufacturing locations in Windsor (Accutron, Inc.) and Milford (OSDA). This leader will have overall responsibility for the operational, financial, and strategic performance of both sites, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and profitable manufacturing operations. The role will lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams spanning Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Programs, while fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and strong people leadership.
Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Leadership
- Own P&L performance, including revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, including CapEx and productivity initiatives
- Serve as the primary escalation point for operational, financial, and customer-related issues
Operational Excellence & Execution
- Lead all manufacturing operations including SMT, through-hole, assembly, and test
- Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash metrics
- Implement KPI-driven daily management systems
- Improve throughput, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency
- Ensure effective maintenance and equipment reliability programs
Quality, Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, FDA, and customer requirements
- Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA/RCCA) and continuous quality improvement
- Maintain strong process control and product traceability standards
Customer & Commercial Leadership
- Serve as executive-level contact for key customers
- Drive Voice of Customer initiatives throughout operations
- Support quoting, contract review, and new product introduction (NPI)
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Supply Chain & Materials Management
- Improve supplier performance, material flow, and inventory accuracy
- Drive cost reduction and supply chain optimization initiatives
People & Culture Leadership
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing leadership teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Partner with HR on recruiting, talent development, and succession planning
- Lead performance management
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Standardize processes and reduce operational variability
- Drive measurable continuous improvement tied to financial performance
Safety & Environmental
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
- Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across both sites
- Maintain audit-ready facility conditions and operational standards
Financial & Cash Performance
- Drive EBITDA improvement through productivity and cost-control initiatives
- Optimize labor efficiency and staffing models
- Improve inventory turns and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
- Support sustainable, profitable operational growth
Who You Are
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including experience with full P&L ownership, managing large budgets and optimizing resource allocation
- Experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations, complex operations and driving process improvements and change initiatives strongly preferred
- Must be eligible to work in compliance with U.S. ITAR regulations, including access to export-controlled information.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing multi-functional departments.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and develop mid-level leaders.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscape as well as leveraging digital tools and systems to enhance performance and decision-making.
- Ability to travel between both sites as needed.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
