TRUEWERK is looking for a Vice President, Planning & Inventory Management to lead the strategy, systems, and teams that keep our product flowing from forecast to customer. Based in Denver, Colorado and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this leader will shape our end-to-end planning and inventory strategy to support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience.
You'll lead Demand Planning, Supply Planning & Procurement, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Master Data Management, and Capacity Management while partnering closely with teams across Product, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing. Success in this role means bringing people, processes, and technology together to improve forecasting, optimize inventory, strengthen supplier performance, and build a supply chain that's ready for what's next.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain planning and inventory management, along with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving meaningful operational improvements. You're equally comfortable setting long-term strategy and rolling up your sleeves to solve complex challenges, using data and technology to make better decisions and deliver measurable results.

Role & Responsibilities
Strategy, Leadership & Organizational Excellence

Lead the company's end-to-end planning and inventory management strategy, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and business growth objectives.

Own and lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, facilitating cross-functional alignment across Sales, Finance, Operations, Product, and Supply Chain.

Develop and implement scalable planning frameworks, KPIs, and governance processes to support organizational growth and operational maturity.

Partner closely with executive leadership to develop strategic supply chain initiatives, risk mitigation strategies, and long-range operational plans.

Build, mentor, and lead high-performing planning, procurement, and inventory management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Ensure planning and inventory management processes support company profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term scalability objectives.

Oversee the Demand Planning function, ensuring accurate demand forecasts that optimize inventory, improve customer service levels, and support efficient business operations.

Direct Supply Planning & Procurement activities to ensure optimal inventory availability, supplier performance, cost management, and continuity of supply.

Drive inventory optimization initiatives across all channels and product categories, balancing working capital efficiency with customer service expectations.

Lead Capacity Management processes to ensure manufacturing, supplier, and operational capabilities align with forecasted demand and growth plans.

Identify and proactively mitigate supply chain risks related to demand variability, supplier constraints, capacity limitations, and inventory exposure.

Establish and maintain robust Master Data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across planning systems and business processes.

Champion the adoption and optimization of advanced planning systems, ERP platforms, automation tools, and analytics capabilities to improve decision-making and operational performance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning and procurement functions using data analytics, technology, and best-practice methodologies.

Monitor and report on key supply chain and inventory metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, procurement, and operations within a fast-paced consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.

Experience in the apparel and/or footwear industry required; multi-brand experience preferred.

Experience supporting multi-channel businesses, including wholesale and ecommerce; Amazon experience preferred.

Proven experience leading Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, S&OP, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management functions at scale.

Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams in complex, growth-oriented organizations while driving organizational change and influencing executive-level decision-making.

Strong track record of driving operational improvements, inventory optimization, supply chain transformation, and balancing service, cost, and working capital across large inventory portfolios.

Experience implementing and optimizing ERP systems, planning platforms, and supply chain technologies; experience working with global suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners preferred.

Strong background using data and analytics to improve forecasting, planning, and overall operational performance.

Deep expertise in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, S&OP, inventory optimization methodologies, forecasting models, and supply chain analytics.

Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and planning platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, Toolio, or similar solutions.

Proficiency with business intelligence and data analysis tools, including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms.

Strong understanding of Master Data Management principles and governance processes.

Experience leveraging automation, AI, and advanced technologies to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to evaluate trade-offs between inventory, service levels, margin, and operational costs.

Experience implementing new processes, KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level reporting to drive business performance.

Excellent project management and process improvement capabilities; experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
