Job Description: Accounts Receivable Associate (PT)
Reports To: Director of Finance
Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for assisting with the management of the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, accurate application of customer payments, and maintenance of customer account records. This role works closely with customers, sales teams, and accounting personnel to resolve billing discrepancies and support healthy cash flow.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, collections, or accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience in business-to-business (B2B) collections.
Duties:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances.
- Contact customers regarding past-due accounts through phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Process and apply customer payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Resolve billing issues and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare aging reports and collection status updates for management.
- Maintain accurate customer account information and documentation.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer concerns.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and audit requests.
- Support cash forecasting by providing updates on collection activity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Schedule:
- The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work an average of 20 hours per week. Schedule to be determined.
