**Taco Villa** is seeking a talented and dedicated Cook to join our vibrant team and contribute to the flavorful legacy that has made us a cornerstone of West Texas. As a Cook, you will play a pivotal role in providing our customers with the delicious meals they know and love, while working closely with your fellow crew members to ensure an efficient and enjoyable dining experience.
- **Food Preparation:** Prepare and cook menu items quickly and accurately according to Taco Villa’s specifications.
- **Quality Control:** Ensure all food items are prepared neatly, presented beautifully, and served hot to maintain our high standards.
- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with another crew member to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service.
- **Leadership:** Exhibit excellent leadership skills to maintain control of the cooking line, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- **Time Management:** Maintain a strong sense of urgency and prioritize tasks to meet customer demands during peak hours.
- **Waste Control:** Monitor and control food waste by preparing items correctly and following portioning guidelines to ensure cost-effective operations.
- **Cleanliness:** Keep your workspace clean and organized, promptly cleaning up spills and wiping down surfaces to promote a safe cooking environment.
- **Closing Duties:** Efficiently close your area at the end of your shift, ensuring all tasks are completed neatly and thoroughly.
- Must be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours) without breaks.
- A good sense of time management and urgency in food preparation.
- Experience in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
