Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by assisting in the preparation of high-quality dishes that meet our dining standards. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Looking for those with experience in American breakfast foods.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Follow recipes and menu plans to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
- Support the head chef and other kitchen staff during meal service by preparing dishes as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food handling tools.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service is a must
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling techniques are essential for success in this role.
- Experience with the egg station is a must.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- A genuine passion for cooking and an eagerness to develop culinary skills further are highly valued.
