Sales Associate
Location: Davenport, IA / Moline, IL
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and has a strong interest or background in sales. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service while effectively promoting our products.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following proper cash-handling procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively assist customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits.
- Assist in maintaining store appearance, including organizing merchandise, restocking shelves, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Support supervisors with daily operations and help train new team members when needed.
- Apply retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales reporting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication skills (in-person, phone, and written).
- Familiarity with cash-handling and POS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Team-oriented yet self-motivated.
- Basic understanding of retail math (sales, discounts, inventory).
- Supervisory or training experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn about new products and industry trends.
