Overview
Divine Home Care of Ohio is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and motivated Home Health Office Administrator to assist the agency administrator in oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our agency.
This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who enjoys keeping an office running efficiently, maintaining compliance, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring exceptional patient service.
The Home Health Office Administrator works closely with the Agency Administrator and plays an important role in supporting agency operations while ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and agency policies. This position reports directly to the Agency Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, patient management, and staff coordination to ensure smooth workflow.
- Manage financial aspects such as patient prior authorization, medical billing, Assist with claims support and documentation review.
- Resolve documentation and billing discrepancies.
- Support bookkeeping, budgeting, filing, and general administrative functions
- Supervise healthcare staff, including medical administrative support personnel, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA and JCAHO standards.
- Monitor Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliance using Axxess and Sandata.
- Assist with chart audits and documentation reviews.
- Help maintain agency compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulations.
- Prepare documentation for surveys and quality assurance activities.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such Axxess for accurate medical records management and patient data entry.
- Ensure adherence to health regulation policies, including utilization management and managed care protocols.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to support nursing and acute care services while maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
- Lead human resources activities such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and managing team communication to foster a motivated work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management with a focus on Home health and medical office environments.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and Medicaid and Medicare standards.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare staff and teams effectively.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Axxess; familiarity with quickbooks, microsoft word documents is essential.
- Excellent managerial communication skills paired with customer service expertise to support patients and staff alike.
- Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing processes.
