American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background for an acute care hospital assignment in Urbana, IL.

Acute care hospital setting

Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-
40 hours per week, 8 hours per day

Weekend shifts on a PRN basis

Holiday shifts on a PRN basis

Treats patients across all age groups
-
Epic EMR used for charting
-
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
-
Current BLS certification
-
Active Illinois SLP license (issued by IDFPR); license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of relevant SLP experience

Epic EMR experience required
-
Level 1 Trauma experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Collects case history information and integrates input from patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals

Selects and administers evaluation procedures tailored to individual patient needs, including standardized assessments and instrumental evaluations

Develops and implements individualized care plans with measurable goals addressing functional and emotional needs
-
Modifies treatment approaches in response to patient behavior and performance
-
Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
-
Collaborates with the medical team to communicate patient status, changes, and recommendations for next level of care
-
Provides patient and family education and training throughout the rehabilitation process
-
Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
-
Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 year or more must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
-
RTO may not exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
