About the Role
5280 Asset Recovery is looking for a dependable, sharp, and road-savvy Driver to join our growing field team. This isn't your average driving job — you'll play a critical role in locating and reporting vehicles in the field, working with cutting-edge technology platforms, and operating with the professionalism our clients expect. Compensation: Competitive base hourly pay + commission
What You'll Do
- Patrol designated routes and areas to locate vehicles flagged for repossession, while strictly obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with team members via multiple app-based platforms to report located vehicles, flag issues, and coordinate next steps.
- Maintain precise, up-to-date records of all vehicle sightings and field activity.
- Deliver professional, detail-oriented reports to team leads and clients as required.
What You'll Need
- A valid driver's license held continuously for at least 3 years from the current date; minimum age of 22 required.
- A clean driving record — no major traffic violations or at-fault accidents within the past 5 years. (Motor vehicle records will be reviewed through our insurance providers prior to hire. Please only apply if you meet this requirement.)
- Prior experience in a driving-focused role — route driving, transportation, moving operations, or similar.
- Strong situational awareness and knowledge of vehicle makes and models.
- Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and digital.
- Comfort navigating unfamiliar routes efficiently and adapting to changing priorities in the field.
- Tech-savvy: you'll rely on multiple apps and computer-based tools daily and need to pick them up quickly.
