Role Overview As a Sales and Service Tech, you will balance moderate physical labor with heavy communication. You will be provided with 2 to 6 appointments per day (seasonally dependent) and the tools you need to succeed. Our on-the-job training program will walk you through our specific process for service excellence and up-selling, ensuring you have the knowledge to provide customers with the best possible solutions.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems and appliances using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, heating systems, and mechanical equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Provide expert field service support by troubleshooting issues on-site, conducting equipment repairs, welding repairs when necessary, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist in HVAC design consultations by interpreting schematics and blueprints to recommend optimal solutions tailored to client needs.
- Conduct property maintenance assessments related to HVAC systems and recommend upgrades or repairs to improve efficiency.
- Support sales efforts by explaining technical features of products and services to customers while ensuring their needs are met with professional guidance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, schematics interpretation, HVAC design concepts, plumbing systems, and appliance repair techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience operating diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing equipment repair or welding tasks.
- Familiarity with field service procedures including troubleshooting complex systems like boilers or air conditioning units.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Ability to work in diverse environments requiring physical activity such as lifting heavy equipment or standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of HVAC experience preferred.
- Certification: Valid EPA Certification is required.
- Drivers License: Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean record for insurance purposes.
- Tools: Techs must provide their own professional tools, including:
- Diagnosis tools & Gauges
- Temperature probes
- Manometer, etc.
- Physicality: Ability to perform moderate labor consistent with HVAC service and installation.
- Communication: High-level verbal skills; ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms.
- Integrity: Must pass a comprehensive background check.
Compensation & Benefits
- Earning Potential: $75,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year (Performance-based).
- Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly pay schedule.

Schedule & Location
- Typical Hours: 3-4 days a week, weekend service rotation, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
