Crown Staffing is currently seeking experienced MIG Welders to fill openings in a local Manufacturing company in Tulsa, OK.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team in an automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components used in vehicle structures and frames. You will follow blueprints, technical drawings, and safety standards to ensure high-quality and precise welds for automotive production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on mild steel, aluminum, and/or stainless steel components used in vehicle manufacturing.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, work orders, and specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report malfunctions.
- Work collaboratively with team members in fabrication, assembly, and quality control.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Meet daily production and quality targets in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of MIG welding experience, preferably in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in operating MIG welding machines and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with welding symbols and quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is a plus.
- Experience working with robotic welding systems.
- Forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
Physical Requirements:
- 12-hour shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Work in a noisy, fast-paced production environment.
- Tolerance for heat, sparks, and fumes associated with welding.
