POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Technician PROBATIONARY: 90 Days
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Operations STARTING SALARY: $45,00.00
REPORTS TO: District Managers
DETAILS: Full Time Monday through Friday occasional weekends and overtime required
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for basic preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment repairs in all Port City Java corporate cafes in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties, corporate office. This position requires:
- Basic knowledge of plumbing including fixtures, filters, toilets and faucets
- Basic knowledge of electric components including fixtures, switches and wiring
- A general understanding of restaurant equipment functionality including coolers, freezers and ovens
- Basic knowledge of internet functionality and an ability to troubleshoot networking issues
- Ability to learn new skills and equipment functions. Training will be provided on specialized equipment such as espresso machines, brewers and grinders
- Proficiency in office computing (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Solid written and verbal skills, quick response time and an ability to communicate with many individuals at different levels of the company
- Strong organizational skills, time management and an ability to prioritize tasks
- A clean driving record and a valid North Carolina driver license
- Must be able to interface with guests in a professional manner and represent the company brand/culture
- Must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills
Physical requirements include:
Must be able to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time or entire work shift.
Must be able to maneuver in a variety of physical spaces, including on ladders, under counters, inside and outside
Work requires the need to lift or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100lbs.
