We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Dental Hygienist to join our family owned dental practice. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Assist with dental procedures by preparing treatment areas and providing chairside support during various treatments.
- Take digital dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Eaglesoft dental software
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and techniques for treating children effectively.
- Ability to measure vital signs accurately and recognize abnormal findings requiring further assessment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical records management.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse patient populations.
