Our mission is to provide current and innovative urologic techniques in a sensitive and compassionate environment. Florida Physician Specialists has an immediate opening for Medical Assistants in our McIver Clinic division.
Medical Assistants work with the physician and non-physician providers in the clinical area to provide support and high-quality care for patients. The McIver Clinic division has seven locations and sixteen physicians and some travel to satellite offices may be necessary.
Essential Job Functions:
- Escort patients back to exam rooms, prepares patient for physician
- Set up office surgical trays, while maintaining sterility
- Take vital signs and obtain a short explanation of the reason for the patient visit.
- Assist the physician with simple office procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and strict HIPAA compliance
- Other duties assigned
Ideal candidates for this position will have:
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and potentially stressful environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and staff both verbally and in writing
- Proven track record of working well with patients, physicians, and staff
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage challenging patient or staff issues in a professional and courteous manner
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- CPR certified.
- Allscripts EHR (Preferred)
