American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CV OR position in a hospital surgery department, requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent cardiovascular surgery experience including on and off pump CABG.

Hospital-based surgery department with 11 ORs and a dedicated Cysto room
-
Cardiovascular OR focus with procedures including on-pump CABG, off-pump CABG, vascular bypass, and carotid endarterectomy
-
Vascular surgery experience is preferred

1:1 patient ratio
-
Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; no overnight shift
-
Call requirements cover Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract

EMR: Meditech
-
Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start)

Minimum 3 years of recent CV surgery experience

On and off pump CABG experience required

US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Hospital-provided scrubs

CV OR experience and vascular surgery experience are preferred qualifications that will be prioritized during review

Team includes a Director, Charge Nurse, Circulators, Surgical Techs, Nurse Techs, Anesthesia Tech, and Unit Clerk on day shift
