Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
- Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregivers to maintain a cohesive, organized classroom environment.
- Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols.
- Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among infants.
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child's developmental progress, health records, and incident reports as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements that support childhood development and early learning goals.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and early childhood development principles.
- Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or preschool settings, including classroom experience with infants.
- Strong classroom management skills to create a safe, organized learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to implement child supervision techniques effectively while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for infants and young children.
