Job Description:
Established in 1999, we are Beaverton's oldest Pawn Shop. We are a family owned and operated shop, like no other, with very loyal clientele. We deal in jewelry, gold, firearms, modern electronics, tools and musical instruments. Every day will be interesting, different and provides a rewarding experience helping people. We are very much a service oriented business and our top priority is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Primary Duties:
- Provide great customer service
- Accurately evaluating and testing items for loan or purchase
- Retail sales of floor merchandise ranging from electronics, tools, musical instruments, jewelry and firearms.
- Determining and negotiating values on loans, buys or sales by using a combination of various internet resources and/or product market knowledge.
- Data entry: Writing new loans, renewals, pickups, buys and sales using our pawn software.
- Re-stocking and cleaning the store during slow periods.
Requirements:
- Great customer service skills
- Honest, punctual, dependable and detail oriented. Able to transcribe numbers and words very accurately.
- Knowledge of modern technology such as computers, cameras, tablets, etc.
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Previous sales experience a plus
- Able to take and follow directions from the owners and trainer
- Able to pass background check
- Able to lift 50+lbs. Ability to use a staircase throughout a work shift.
Preferred:
Knowledge in any or all of the following departments; Electronics, jewelry, musical instruments, tools or firearms. Firearm experience and/or web sales is very desirable.
We currently have a part-time position available and in time, a possibility for full time position.
