Fel-Tech Hammer is a specialized hydraulic breaker repair facility serving construction, mining, demolition, and other heavy equipment customers throughout the Northeast.
We're looking for a mechanically-minded, dependable individual who wants to build a long-term career in heavy equipment repair. No hydraulic breaker experience is required. You'll receive hands-on training from experienced technicians and progressively take on more responsibility as you develop your skills.

What You'll Do
- Assist experienced technicians with hydraulic breaker inspection, repair, rebuilding, and testing
- Learn to inspect equipment and identify worn or damaged components
- Assist with measuring bushings, pistons, and other components to manufacturer specifications
- Help replace hydraulic seals and other components
- Assist with basic welding and machining tasks with training provided
- Learn to use tools such as calipers, micrometers, lathes, and Bridgeport mills
- Learn to read hydraulic schematics and technical manuals
- Assist with testing completed hydraulic breakers
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Pick orders and prepare pallets and boxes for shipping
- Receive incoming orders and organize inventory
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
What We're Looking For
- No hydraulic breaker experience required—we will train the right candidate
- Strong mechanical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Some hands-on mechanical experience preferred, including automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, school, hobby, or related work
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Willingness to learn technical manuals, schematics, and specialized equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to complete training
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic personal toolset is helpful but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crawl around heavy equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Comfortable working around mechanical and powered equipment
- Ability to work in a shop environment with varying noise, dust, fumes, and industrial materials
- Ability to use hands for handling tools, parts, and equipment
