Job Description
Performs a wide variety of duties related to the service performed by the Sterile Processing & Distribution Department to all using departments of the hospital. Supervises the SPD Technicians' day-to-day activities. Ensures that adequate quantities of supplies are available when needed. Maintains the patient charge system and SPD production and sterilizer records. Assists the department director in budget preparation.
High School diploma or equivalent. American Hospital Training Course for Central Service Technicians. Nationally certified as a Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician with current certification.
Experience
Previous supervisory experience.
