Position Overview
Are you a diagnostic ace who commands both electrical logic and heavy-duty mechanics? Superior Industries is seeking an adaptable Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our production team. This isn't a repetitive assembly-line job. You will own the integration of sophisticated electrical control systems into massive, heavy machinery—acting as the vital link between our engineering blueprints and field-ready equipment.
Key Areas of Responsibility

System Integration & Wiring: Install advanced electrical components, control panels, and specialized wiring systems onto heavy industrial machinery according to technical specifications.

Prototype Testing & Engineering Support: Collaborate directly with the engineering department to troubleshoot and optimize prototype or "first-run" systems, providing immediate technical solutions to integration challenges.

Quality Assurance & Validation: Conduct comprehensive electrical testing and systematic documentation to ensure all equipment meets performance standards and engineering blueprints prior to shipment.

Cross-Functional Assembly: Assist with mechanical and hydraulic assembly tasks as needed to support production milestones and ensure timely project completion.

Technical Training & Leadership: Serve as the primary subject matter expert on the production floor, providing technical guidance and hands-on electrical training to assembly personnel.

Process & Design Optimization: Identify and communicate opportunities for design enhancements and manufacturing efficiencies to the engineering team to improve overall product workflow.
Skills & Qualifications Required

Background: Possession of a Journeyman Electrical License, an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology/Mechatronics, or equivalent field experience.

Schematic Literacy: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and trace industrial electrical schematics.

Power Systems: Solid understanding of both 480VAC (three-phase power) and 24VDC control circuits.

Code & Compliance: Practical familiarity with NEC guidelines as they apply to manufactured industrial equipment.

Tools of the Trade: Expert proficiency with diagnostic meters, soldering equipment, wire crimpers, and standard hand tools.

Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating computers and learning proprietary equipment control software.
