Landen’s Early Learning Academy is seeking a reliable, energetic, and caring Afterschool / Summer Camp Teacher & Van Driver to support our school-age program. This role combines classroom supervision, activity planning, and safe transportation of children to and from local schools and field trips.
Duties
- Follow all Bright from the Start, state licensing, and center policies and procedures.
- Safely transport children to and from local schools, field trips, and program activities using the center’s van.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of school-age children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework assistance, arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, STEM activities, and enrichment experiences.
- Maintain a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment.
- Promote social, emotional, and behavioral development through positive guidance and redirection.
- Ensure children are accounted for during transitions, outdoor play, and field trips.
- Assist with snack distribution, classroom cleanliness, and daily organization.
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff regarding children’s daily activities and behavior.
Requirements
- 21+ years old.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Previous experience working with school-age children in a childcare, camp, or educational setting preferred.
- Ability to pass background check and obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in active play and outdoor activities.
Work ScheduleSchool Year (Afterschool Program)
- Typically 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
- Additional hours may be available on teacher workdays and school holidays.
Summer Camp Program
- Typically 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM shifts, Monday–Friday.
- Field trips and extended activity days may require schedule flexibility.
