Duties
- Supervise and engage children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills.
- Ensure the safety of children by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to mandated reporting laws when necessary.
- Provide basic first aid and CPR in case of emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective response.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times for younger children.
- Support behavioral management strategies to encourage positive behavior and emotional growth.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles.
- Demonstrated experience caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience planning engaging activities tailored to children's interests and developmental stages.
- Familiarity with child supervision techniques, behavior management strategies, and safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's needs and progress.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
