Requirements:
- One-on-one, in-home and in-community caregiving / behavioral / independence support / personal assistant for (32 year-old ADULT) male with autism
- Experience supporting ABA and independent living philosophy and techniques
- Experience caregiving for adults with disabilities and special needs
- Behavioral support: teaching independent living skills, encouraging daily schedule and daily active lifestyle, managing food/nutrition & meals, assisting with self-management as needed (bathing, dressing, hygiene)
- Light housekeeping duties (less than 25% of expected time)
- Enthusiastic, professional participation in team environment, including willingness to receive constructive feedback from peers, BCBA, management
- Ability/willing to transport client (your vehicle with current car registration and insurance)
- Background check
- Application through agency that contracts with Harbor Regional Center (govt)
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Willing to complete Crisis Prevention and CPR trainingIdeal candidates
MUST be patient, tolerant, empathetic, professional, capable with adults with disabilities, possess great social skills, have a natural desire to help others, and have a clean driving and criminal record.
