Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Independent Contractor Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of vehicles to transport passengers or goods efficiently and professionally. Duties
- Safely operate a range of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, personal vehicles, or delivery vans, ensuring compliance with all state transportation regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers or clients with boarding, luggage handling, and addressing inquiries courteously.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and optimal performance.
- Load, unload, and handle heavy or bulky items with proper manual handling techniques when delivering goods or equipment.
- Follow designated routes accurately while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition for record-keeping purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch or clients regarding schedules, delays, or special instructions.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or shuttle driver is highly preferred; familiarity with bus driving or paratransit services is a plus.
- Proven ability to operate commercial vehicles such as limousines, school buses, or <PERSON> drivers (specialized vehicle types) with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of state transportation regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving.
- Experience in heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for loading/unloading cargo or luggage.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills to perform routine checks and minor repairs when necessary.
- Demonstrated reliability in managing schedules independently as an independent contractor driver.

Pay: $2,461.48 - $2,964.36 per week
