Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Field Safety Representative to champion safety excellence across construction sites. In this vital role, you will serve as the frontline advocate for workplace safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on construction sites, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions aligned with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and construction safety standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety training programs to ensure all personnel understand occupational health protocols and electrical safety procedures
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices
- Manage incident investigations, documenting findings and coordinating workers' compensation claims as needed
- Oversee compliance management efforts by maintaining accurate records of safety audits, regulatory documentation, and training logs
- Collaborate with construction management teams to enforce OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, and other applicable codes
- Provide guidance on risk management strategies to minimize accidents and ensure occupational health excellence across all project phases
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations, OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, NEC codes, and occupational health principles
- Proven experience in construction management and construction workplace safety management
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and educate diverse teams on safety protocols
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation purposes
- Deep understanding of electrical safety procedures and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices
- Effective communication skills for delivering safety training implementation and conducting inspections
- Ability to analyze risks comprehensively using risk management techniques; experience with compliance management tools is a plus
- First aid and CPR certification to respond promptly to onsite emergencies
