Sorenson Engineering is seeking a candidate with experience in manufacturing engineering, with CAD CAM development, CNC Programming, and training experience.
Summary : As part of the custodial team, the facilities custodian is responsible for stocking consumables, ensuring the cleanliness of restrooms, common areas, and other typical custodial duties.
Level I-Ensure all floors are clean, trash containers emptied, dust and disinfect surfaces and equipment. Refill restroom and break room soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Level II-In addition to level I duties, able to help handle and distribute to teammates cleaning chemicals. Clean windows, walls, workstations and other surfaces with appropriate tools. Assist in training Level I custodians.
Essential Job Functions:
Keeps property clean and in orderly condition.
Identifies and communicates with management about any repairs.
Requisitions supplies and equipment for repairs, replacement, cleaning, and maintenance duties.
Understand waste and water disposal procedures. Follows safety principles for the use of chemical cleaners, tools, and power equipment to prevent damage.
Ability to vacuum, sweep floors, mop, and operate corded walk-behind floor cleaning machine.
Restroom cleaning, disinfection, and dusting.
Regular trash collection & removal.
Making sure all solvents and chemical cleaners are used correctly according to safety guidelines.
Skill with chemical solutions and dilution ratios
Able to keep safety in mind as our most important goal.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge and Abilities :
Interprets instructions both written and oral. Works in a team environment to resolve work issues. Knowledge of basic shop math. Forklift certification preferred but not required. Communicates effectively in English.
Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not necessary.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to occasionally exert push force up to 35 pounds, must have good eyesight, hearing, and hand dexterity, and be able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work Environment :
Within safety guidelines, there will be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
