MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION (2nd shift)
Position: Non-Exempt
Reports to: VP Engineering, Maintenance, Environmental & Security
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Electrician provides electrical, electronics, instrumentation and general
maintenance services for the entire manufacturing operations.
Primary responsibility:
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment based on industrial process
controls – In process measuring devices, data transmission, storage devices, HMI and AC/DC drives.
- Ability to understand and follow various guidelines and working procedures (e.g. health and
safety, electrical code NEC 70).
- Being familiar with PLC ladder logic, mechanical drawings and operation sequences.
- Read electrical schematics, blueprints and maintain properly.
- Navigate and comprehend PLC ladder logic.
- Some knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, instrumentation, and control.
- Perform routine schedules and unscheduled electrical troubleshooting, repair, and
calibrations.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical and instrumentation problems.
- Knowledge of PM/ workorder software
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot power distribution, and power transformers.
- Must have the ability to work at heights and be certified on scissor lifts and forklifts.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with electricial work and/or journeyman level experience in
industrial electricity and controls.
- A full understanding of analog, digital, and logic circuits.
- Required knowledge in the installation and troubleshooting of PLCs, variable frequency
drives, and power distribution systems (Preferred).
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet, and industry
specific applications.
- Sense of resourcefulness and initiative.
- Ability to multitask and organize priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written.
