American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with trauma experience for a night shift position at a Level 2 trauma center with a Level 3 NICU, serving an infant-to-geriatric patient population.

Level 2 trauma center that is interventional stroke certified and home to a Level 3 NICU that serves as a regional transport resource
-
Primarily adult RRT scope, with exposure to pediatric intubated patients and infants through geriatric population
-
Responsibilities include managing non-invasive and conventional ventilation, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function tests, oxygen management, arterial line placement, arterial blood gas (ABG) and capillary blood gas draws, and patient education

EMR system: Epic; additional systems include Pyxis, SBAR, Viasys Vela, GE Carescape, and Viasys Avea

Night shift, 18:30–07:00; 4x12 or 3x12 schedules available — indicate preference

Every other weekend required

Floating within the facility and to a sister campus as needed

No on-call requirements

Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience

Trauma experience required

Pulmonary function testing (spirometry) experience preferred

Active Georgia RRT license required if applicable

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Copies of all required certifications required for consideration

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO
-
If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two; one holiday RTO request may be submitted for review
-
Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
-
Travelers who have previously worked at any Piedmont facility must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
-
No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be considered — the posted night shift is firm
