Badass Bagels is looking for a store leader.
We have a position open in Westchester County (RYE, NY)
The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, handling transactions, packaging baked goods, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Ideal for someone upbeat, organized, and passionate about sourdough bagels, coffee and people! There is also light sandwich making required and running and upkeep of an espresso machine. In addition, we have prepared food/market of highly curated pantry items.
As a Front of House (FOH) store supervisor at our bakery/cafe, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. You are responsible for providing a warm, welcoming experience, managing sales transactions, answering product questions, and ensuring the front area is clean, stocked, and inviting. Your role is essential in creating a positive and memorable experience that keeps our customers coming back.
The hours are Wednesday-Sunday from 800am-2PM (30 hours a week) with some additional hours as needed.
You will be expected to:
Greet all customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
Take customer orders accurately, whether in person or over the phone, and handle an Uber tablet.
Provide information about bakery items, ingredients, allergens, and specials.
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions (cash and card). We use SQUARE.
Package baked goods carefully and attractively.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, display cases, and seating area.
Restock retail items, baked goods, and supplies as needed.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or compliments professionally and promptly.
Perform opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and cleaning tasks.
Coordinate with bakers and kitchen staff to fulfill special orders or custom requests.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.

Retail and bakery experience is required. We require two professional references. Prior experience should include similar work in customer service or work in a foodservice role. Interviews and trial shifts will be conducted prior to hiring.
End of day waste report and inventory sheets are kept and filled out collectively by both positions.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
