We are a clean, uplifting, cheerful, and upbeat place to work! We are looking to add a biscuit baker and breakfast line cook to our fast-paced Biscuit House team.
This role includes baking Biscuits and Scones in the morning, then moving on to setting up the line for service. During service, this role is fulfilling orders, cooking to-order and closing the kitchen at the end of the day.
We are requiring weekend availability (especially Sundays). Your schedule will be decided and confirmed by the Manager.
JOB DUTIES
- Perform shift opening and closing duties (starting equipment, baking Biscuits and Scones, preparing orders, end of day breakdown etc);
- Customer Service Skills: Kitchen is in full view of the customer, which requires a positive attitude and service with a smile;
- Set up and stock food stations with all of the necessary supplies and prepare food for service;
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers;
- Ensure that food is prepared to our quality standards AND in a timely fashion;
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards, maintain a clean and sanitary work environment; and
- Have the ability to lift material containers up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year breakfast restaurant cook experience
- Must have valid food handlers permit to work
- Demonstrate knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Good communication skills
- Professional and clean appearance
- Valid driver’s license
- Task-driven in a fast-paced environment (Accuracy and speed are key)
- Able to pass a background check
COMPENSATION
- Full time; MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS
- Starting wage for this position is $18-22/hour (doe) PLUS approx $8/ hr in tip pool!
