Overview

Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances on construction sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for construction plumbing projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct system inspections to identify issues and execute repairs or upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate work seamlessly on-site.
- Assist with remodeling, maintenance, and field service tasks involving plumbing systems.
- Follow schematics and mechanical diagrams to assemble or modify piping systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.
- Support HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system installations related to plumbing components when required.
- Operate construction vehicles or commercial driving equipment as necessary for project logistics.
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on plumbing installation and repair.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, drills; power tools including saws and grinders; welding equipment; pipe threading machines; and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to plumbing and HVAC is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction plumbing standards, building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with remodeling projects or maintenance person tasks involving plumbing systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex installations or repairs.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or flow rates are essential.
