Position Overview
We are seeking a highly-detailed responsible individual to fill the position of Transportation Scheduler in a fast-paced environment. This vital role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of daily transportation schedules, managing driver assignments, tracking vehicle routes, and maintaining communication between drivers, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain daily and weekly transportation schedules for youth participants.
· Coordinate routes to ensure efficiency, safety, and timeliness.
· Communicate pickup and drop-off to families and program staff.
· Track attendance and transportation logs for reporting purposes.
· Monitor vehicle use, maintenance needs, and driver compliance with safety policies.
· Respond promptly to last-minute schedule changes or transportation issues.
· Work closely with the Dispatcher and Operations Manager to align transportation with program needs.
· Maintain accurate records and assist with monthly reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
· Prior experience in scheduling, logistics, or transportation coordination strongly preferred.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency with scheduling software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
· Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
· Commitment to Youth On The Move’s mission and to serving youth with care and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge of local transportation routes and regulations.
· Experience working in a nonprofit, youth, or human services setting.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus.
